Sightings of celebrities (or even style bloggers) in drawstring bucket bags aren’t that common. For some reason, the drawstring bucket silhouette is not exactly what one would consider a “usual choice” when choosing bags, yes?
Could it be the design? Or is it simply that drawstring bucket bags look a little old-fashioned (a la vintage Louis Vuitton Noe or the Gucci drawstring bag from the 1980s)?

Of course, one thing to note is that vintage or classic bags are making a comeback. In fact, a lot of labels are looking to their archives for inspiration, reissuing heritage styles that are more timeless in look and feel.
This old-is-new revival has been very well received by women – from trendsetters to trend followers, around the world. So it definitely came as no surprise to find Pixie Lott, one of London’s IT girls, sported a bright red Moschino drawstring bucket shoulder purse while at a Panasonic event in Oxford Circuit yesterday.
She used the bag to spice up a black and white retro-inspired outfit, and let’s just say she looked absolutely cute in the whole get-up:

Fantastic combination, yes? We especially love the pop of red she infused into the dark attire. And speaking of red, that Moschino drawstring bucket bag sure doesn’t look that outdated, does it? Would you consider wearing one this season?
If you like Pixie’s Moschino purse, a similar piece in a much more subdued red is available at Net-A-Porter. A black version can also be found at Farfetch. The bag retails at $895:
