I like featuring things that are unusual and out of the ordinary once in a while.
Natalie Portman wears a black Christian Dior Resort 2011 dress at the New York Premiere of “Black Swan” at the Ziegfeld Theatre on November 30, 2010, in New York City
For instance, today I want to talk about the book-inspired clutch that was spotted on Natalie Portman during the New York premiere of Black Swan.

Now tell me that hard case doesn’t look unusual. I mean, it’s not unusual-looking for a book, but it definitely is for a clutch.
Natalie’s interesting clutch is from Olympia Le-Tan, a French designer who became inspired by books and made an entire collection of handbags and minaudières based on them.
The Lolita clutch is just one among her many book-inspired creations. Here’s a closer look at the Olympia Le-Tan Lolita:

Every book clutch or handbag from Olympia Le-Tan is made by hand. If you look at the Lolita closely, you will find that the cover is actually in canvas while the details are embroidered in silk, not printed. The lining is also special. It uses a Liberty print lining and felt applique.
If looking at the Lolita clutch is already getting you all excited, then feel free to visit Farfetch or Matches Fashion.
Be prepared to splurge though, because Olympia Le-Tan handbags are not cheap. The Lolita, for instance, is priced at a heavy $1330!
Can’t afford it? Well, why not just go for this book clutch from Kate Spade instead?
