Alright, we admit. We are hard-core Olivia Palermo fans here. Sorry, we can’t help it. The socialite is simply stalk-worthy. We’re constantly amazed by how she comes up with outfits that look straight out of a magazine editorial.

She has mastered the art of mixing and matching, and we’re hoping the talent will rub off on us if we follow her around long enough. It’s wishful thinking, we know. But, hey, we can dream, yes?

Speaking of which, Olivia was again spotted looking fantabulous while out and about in New York City yesterday.

She wore an effortless outfit — a classic khaki trench injected with a bit of color drama by pairing it with a bright orange shirt and some exotic-skin Pretty Ballerinas Montreal snake flats.

What blew us away was how she unexpectedly finished the whole ensemble with a khaki foldover backpack (worn as a handbag) instead of the usual tote. Yep! Olivia sported the perennially unglamorous knapsack and made it look chic!

This is precisely why Olivia is called a tastemaker. She creates outfits like magic, making them look amazingly fresh and stylish.

Note that her accessory choice played a massive role in the whole effect. She opted for a classy and unique-looking backpack made of tonal suede material — one that came with a top handle for option.
