Having recently jetted off to Beijing to spend some quality time with her beau, Mila Kunis made sure to do the same with her Ukrainian mom Elvira, who was in LA earlier this week.

In 1991, when she was 7 years old, Mila emigrated to the United States with her parents and her brother Michael. Growing up in Ukraine, she had to hide the fact she was Jewish for fear of persecution.

Milena Markovna Kunis was born in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi on August 14, 1983.

“My whole family was in the Holocaust. My grandparents passed and not many survived,” Mila said in an interview published in The Sun.

“After the Holocaust, in Russia, you were not allowed to be religious. So my parents raised me to know I was Jewish. You know who you are inside,” she added.

Her dad Mark Kunis, who had worked as a mechanical engineer, got a job driving a cab after moving to the US. Her mom, a physics teacher, started working at a pharmacy.

“My parents both had amazing jobs, and I was very lucky,” she told The Telegraph in September 2011.

“We were not poor when we lived in Russia, whereas most people were very unfortunate. My parents thought that my brother and I would have no future there, though, so we moved to the United States.”

“That was all we were allowed to take with us,” she told the newspaper about arriving in a new country with just $250 in cash. “My parents had given up good jobs and degrees, which were not transferable.”

Keeping it casual in a shirt and jeans combo, the 30-year-old actress managed to steal the spotlight by toting Tod’s crossbody bag.

She looked stylish despite her casual clothes, right?

Sarah Hyland’s lookalike may portray a glamorous woman when she’s on the red carpet attending premieres and promoting films. But when she’s off duty as an actress, she chooses to look simple and fuss-free!

For a grocery shopping date with her mom last Tuesday, the Friends with Benefits star opted to look casual in a Batman shirt, black skinny jeans, and flats.

She did her best to look anonymous behind her Ray-Ban sunglasses, but the paparazzi still managed to identify the petite but beautiful actress!

Known for her unique eyes, Mila capped off her look with a crossbody bag from Tod’s S.p.A., also known as Tod’s Group.

The bag retails for approximately $765 at Farfetch, which seems reasonable enough for bagaholics wanting a designer piece that can fit a phone, a wallet, and a lipstick.

Despite its size, the bag will hang comfortably on your shoulders and will add a stylish vibe to whatever outfit you wear!

But if you’re looking for something cheaper to flaunt this season, here are some chic crossbody alternatives from Shopbop:
