Lupita Nyong’o looked fresh and beautiful in a black-and-white number for the 7th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic held at the Liberty State Park in New Jersey.
The ’12 Years a Slave’ actress wore an Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 printed frock featuring a pleated skirt with a double-layer overlay and a belted waist that creates an hourglass figure. She styled the dress with a Janessa Leone Rita Panama hat, although one with a wider brim would have been better, and a pair of black wedges by Christian Louboutin. Wedge shoes are ideal for the event, but they didn’t look great with Lupita’s entire outfit. Still, she was stunning, and her makeup was flawless, as usual.

Lupita’s Alexander McQueen tote features the same black-and-white geometric pattern as her frock. Made of calf leather, the bag has a front flap that loops over one of the rolled top handles, expandable side zips, silver-tone microstuds on both sides, and removable and adjustable shoulder straps, which the actress and director chose to go without.
