We saw a lot of great handbags this year, and because 2013 is coming to a close, we decided to scour the archives for our favorite celebrity handbags and purses of the year.

1. Diane Kruger’s Chanel Lego Clutch
It was definitely a major moment when we spotted Diane Kruger with a Chanel Lego clutch. This was also one of the first times we’ve seen this odd-looking purse on a celebrity.
The clutch is from the brand’s Spring 2013 collection and comes in several different candy colors. Its price tag hits a whopping $9,900!

2. Rihanna’s Juliette Jake Clutch
Shopping in some high-end designer stores, Riri boldly rocked a denim-on-denim ensemble, which she effortlessly pulled off.
She paired the look with a blue clutch that also looked like denim but was actually a crocodile leather piece. The Juliette Jake crocodile clutch was the perfect topping to her wildly denim ensemble.

3. Chloe Moretz’s Chanel Hula Hoop Bag
We were crazy about Chanel’s hula hoop bag when we first saw it on the Spring/Summer 2013 runway.
The attention-grabbing purse had the classic Chanel leather quilting that we all know and love, but it was reinvented with a hula hoop frame.
There have been very few celebrity sightings with this purse because it wasn’t really meant to be mass-produced and retailed to the public. So, it was definitely surprising to see a young Chloe carrying the $2,400 arm candy.

4. Behati Prinsloo’s Desigual Bag
This next feature is more about the girl than the bag. The bag, at its best, is an average-looking tote. The celebrity, on the other hand, is more than average.
The girl balancing a mixed-print Desigual bag on her head is Behati Prinsloo, also known as the future Mrs. Adam Levine.
Sorry, ladies, but the hunky rock star will soon be tied to this African Victoria’s Secret model who has some pretty good head-balancing skills.

5. Katherine Heigl’s Fendi Tote
What’s in Katherine Heigl’s Fendi tote? A super cute pooch that stole our hearts! How could you not love this crazy but cute bag moment?

6. Olivia Palermo’s Khaki Backpack
The stylish Olivia Palermo is one of the trendsetters who put the backpack back in the limelight.
We all thought this style had already run its course in the ’90s, but after seeing it being used by our fave fashionistas, we couldn’t help but fall in love with this reinvented trend all over again.

7. Miroslava Duma’s Chanel Perfume Clutch
This doll-faced socialite never misses the most important fashion events. We spotted her at Chanel’s runway show during Paris Fashion Week, paying homage to the brand with a stunning Chanel perfume clutch.
This gorgeous piece comes in several variations; unfortunately, it’s sold out everywhere!

8. Miley Cyrus’ Printed Chanel Bag
After Miley Cyrus’s infamous twerking performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Movie Awards back in August, the paps have been hounding this girl everywhere she goes.
The controversial pop star was spotted having a good time in Amsterdam, spending a number of hours in Greenhouse Coffee Shop, a popular hangout place for those who enjoy “baked” goodies.
After the coffee binge, she used her gorgeous Chanel purse to shield her face and probably puffy eyes from the blinding lights of the cameras.

9. Jennifer Aniston’s Tom Ford “Jennifer” Bag
The Tom Ford “Jennifer” bag is undoubtedly one of the most popular designer bags in the world.
This purse, which was made by the designer to honor Jen Aniston, has a huge celebrity following. So, when we spotted Jen herself carrying her namesake bag on the set of a movie, we just went gaga!

10. Oprah Winfrey and the Tom Ford Bag She Couldn’t Have
Okay, this may not be the best bag moment of the year, but this is definitely the most unforgettable one. When Oprah was reportedly refused service in a posh store in Zurich, the Internet went abuzz.
The bag in question was a crocodile-skin version of the “Jennifer” bag, which retailed for about $38,000. Now, we all know that’s pocket change for Oprah, but apparently, one salesperson didn’t recognize the media mogul.
