Going to college (or university) is a time of many firsts, so it is just fitting that you choose your first university bag wisely
We’re big fans of large tote bags and, of course, they make great school bags. Aside from giving you enough space (believe me, you’re gonna be needing it), they also often come with detachable/adjustable shoulder straps that allow you to go hands-free!
Here are some essentials you absolutely can’t go without at univerity.
1. Small pouches for organizing
I’ve got three small pouches in my bag right now for makeup, school supplies, and important stuff (cellphones, wallet, etc.). They’re helpful and enable you to access what you need in a jiffy.
2. Light sweater/scarf/pashmina
It may be sweltering outside, so most office buildings, classrooms, or even buses turn up the A/C. Temperature changes make you susceptible to illness!
3. An extra pair of flats
You’ll never know when you’ll need to run across the campus to get something photocopied or when you’ll get tired of wearing your heels!
4. Something to read/entertain yourself
It pays to be prepared against long waiting lines/cues in the taxi lane or the supermarket. At least you won’t get bored and even have time to catch up on your reading!
