It seems like Alexander Wang is putting a new, more sophisticated spin on the house of Balenciaga.

The high-profile designer was appointed as the creative director of the brand last year, and his first collection was released just a couple of months ago.

For his first-ever handbag collection for Balenciaga, Wang decided to pay tribute to the brand’s original flagship store located on 10 Avenue George V in Paris. The collection is named “Le Dix,” which translates to “The 10.”

The Le Dix “Cartable” bag has a very sleek and sophisticated look — quite a smart-looking satchel that’s a little androgynous, too.

It’s no surprise that it comes with a pretty expensive price tag (hey, it’s Balenciaga!).

It has gotten mixed reviews. Some praise its simplicity and significance to the label’s history, while some are underwhelmed by its minimal structure.

So, what are your thoughts on this new purse in the market? Does it have the potential to be the next ‘it’ bag? Or are you disappointed?
