Parisian-chic? Check. Environment-friendly? Check.
Taylor Swift hit two birds with one stone with this simple yet undeniably chic ensemble that she wore when she went shopping at Barneys New York with gal pal Demi Lovato sometime last week.

We all know that aside from being a successful chart-topping singer, Taylor’s one fine dresser with her signature preppy looks such as this outfit consisting mainly of a plain white shirtdress by The Reformation.
She completed this minimalist Parisian-chic ensemble with a Free People ‘Patton Porkpie’ hat, a Christian Louboutin ‘Farida’ shopping tote, polka-dotted HUE hosiery tulle leggings, and a pair of black Chanel brogues.
This just has to be one of Taylor’s best casual everyday looks, wouldn’t you agree?

Controversy struck the 22-year-old early this week when a blog post from an up-and-coming artist, Lorde, was misinterpreted to mean that she (Lorde) did not think Taylor was much of a role model. Gasp!
However, the “Royals” singer was quick to clarify that “I think I cocked that up a bit and what I said wasn’t put in context also. What I meant was: there’s a lot of importance placed on physical perfection in this industry, and I wish my favorite stars didn’t look perfect because I think fans (me included) have these feelings of worthlessness, like they’ll never be as pretty/talented/whatever, as a result of this intense photoshop culture and the endless strive for perfection.”
We can’t help but agree with her on two things: Taylor Swift is good-looking, and there is so much pressure from the media to become as good-looking as she is.
She went on to say that she’s a very big fan of Taylor and asked for some leeway given that she was new to this “celebrity thing.”
What do you think of Lorde’s commentary? And more importantly, how do you like Taylor’s handbag?

Did we forget to mention that Taylor’s dress is environmentally-friendly? Apparently, this brand is an “environmentally sustainable fashion brand that repurposes vintage and surplus materials to create a chic, limited edition collection.”
The great thing about these shirt dresses is the fact that they can make you look both laid-back and put-together at the same time.
They have that straight-from-bed look as though you’re wearing your boyfriend’s shirt and you don’t even have to accessorize any further. Despite their simplicity, these are statement pieces.
