Your choice of handbag (and shoes, for that matter) can always make or break an outfit. Style is about how you mix and match pieces, and appointing the right extras is a huge (if not integral) part of it. Would you agree?
Our top bloggers this June understand this quite well. After all, it’s all about picking the right bag or shoes and making sure they go well with the outfit. Speaking of which, here are the fashion-savvy ladies (and gents) who have made it to our top 10 list this month. Whose style can you relate to the most?
1. Elle Yamada from Indonesia
We couldn’t resist Elle Yamada’s super cute cat-faced shoulder bag the moment we saw it. It gave her outfit a more interesting story. It is also the kind of arm candy that can turn heads because it looks so adorable.
Do you like it? You can purchase the bag at Elle’s online store, Gowigaza. Also, feel free to visit her blog Elle & Jess for more outfit ideas.
2. Margo from New Jersey
Margo is a 30-year-old teacher’s aide who loves fashion. Actually, she looks more like a fashionista than a teaching assistant. Her style is simple and minimal but always effortlessly chic. She mixes pieces with ease and pairs her outfits with the most perfect clutches.
Check out some of the purses she used to punctuate her outfits. Visit Margo’s fashion diary, Classroom Couture, to catch a glimpse of her huge collection of purses.
3. Marcel Floruss from Germany (Based in New York)
Marcel is a fashion student at FIT who also happens to be a model. He shares his musings and posts his outfits regularly on his blog, One Dapper Street — a fitting name given his occupation.
Now, down to the look below. We like how he kept his three-piece outfit interesting by capping it off with a striped red Marc by Marc Jacobs duffel. What a striking bag, right? Plus, the pairing looks extremely cool.
4. Priscilla B. from Madrid, Spain
We’re loving the unexpected mix of floral and metallics on Priscilla’s outfit. And we definitely can’t help but stare at her oversized silver envelope clutch (a piece from Zara), can you? How would you rock her purse if you had it?
Check out Priscilla’s blog, My Showroom Blog, for more outfit ideas.
5. Anita K. from Belarus
If it’s not about the shoes, then it’s all about the bag. Anita’s mustard yellow studded backpack did it for us. We love how she mixed it with shades of blue; the contrast looks amazing and the backpack looks really cool.
Don’t forget to check out Anita’s blog, Anita Kurkach.
6. Mohcine A. from Morocco
Yep, we’re featuring another dude this month — blogger and stylist Mohcine Aoki. This guy belongs to the rare few (men) who can actually appreciate the idea of accessorizing with a bag. A case in point is Mohcine and his man-bags below.
We’re loving the mix of textures he put together in the first look. The backpack looks gorgeous with the leather jacket (it’s like lambskin on lambskin), while the washed denim keeps the pairing perfectly balanced. The second look is, of course, just as noteworthy.
You can follow Mohcine through his blog, Mohcine X Aoki.
7. Chen from Israel
She may be from Israel, but you will easily mistake Chen of Street Chic Geek as a California girl. Check her out looking absolutely gorgeous in peach and tan. Doesn’t she look amazing? That cognac-colored satchel is definitely the perfect ending to a predominantly orange look. Would you like to take a cue and copy her style?
8. Jessi from Germany
We admit, it was Jessi’s native handbag that got a chunk of our attention when we saw these pictures. It’s so rustic and cute! Her choice to pair it with neutral sandals, a summery frock, and flowers in her hair also made the purse all the more country chic and one of a kind.
Visit Jessi’s blog, Vintage Addicted.
9. Ebba from Sweden
Ebba is a stunningly beautiful girl from Sweden. Her style is part retro, part boho, and part edgy. We fell in love with the look she put together below because it is such a contradicting mix.
The printed frock is very feminine, yet the Beara Beara satchel and rugged boots she paired it with are so masculine. Somehow she was able to strike the perfect balance. And, yes, in case you’re wondering, her gorgeous satchel is the same one we saw on Taylor Swift. Visit Ebba’s blog, Ebba Zingmark, for interesting outfit ideas.
10. Pam S. from Poland
What we really like about Pam of Disturbed Style is that she’s a pro at coordinating pieces. Illustrating that is the black-and-white outfit she put together below. The jeweled neckline of the dress is gorgeous, but pairing it with a classy cream quilted clutch and a cocktail ring made the outfit lookbook-worthy.
